The Family is no longer the foundation of Government. It has not been the model for some time now. Society has always had an adversarial relationship with the family. Whether it is the church or secular order.
As a patriarchal order the Family is a target. As a Matriarchal order it was made complicit by providing that every jack would have his jenny.
